Reading as a Contact Sport
We are incapable of writing anything better than the best thing we've read in the last six to twelve months. What's more, the more deeply and critically we read, the better writers we become. Join us on Zoom for an in-depth exploration of what each month's book has to teach us about the art and craft of writing.
Each class will begin with a writing prompt inspired by the book we've read. A discussion of the book will follow. Then, we'll end with two or three writing prompts inspired by the discussion. Class begins at 8 am Pacific and goes about two hours; however, some books have kept us talking more than four hours.
This is a FREE class, with an optional donation. Students who donate can submit their responses to the prompt for feedback.
