Book is Done and Advanced Copies

Last night I finished the second book in my Halloween Jack series, Halloween Jack and the Devil’s Gate. I’ve shared this with some friends and beta readers, and I have yet to hear anything back except for one reader, who said, “So I’ve already read the first 10 pages or so. Very fun.” Well, it’s better than nothing.

Thoughts so far: I’m a little nervous. Okay… I’m a lot nervous. I set the bar pretty high with Devil’s Gate pretty high. I’m pretty proud of it, and many of my regular readers claim it’s me writing at the top of my game. No pressure for the sequel.

Still, all-in-all, I think it’s a solid book. Hopefully other people will think so too.

I’m giving out advanced copies of Halloween Jack and the Curse of Frost to people who took the time to post a review to Halloween Jack and the Devil’s Gate’s Amazon page. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to tell people what you thought of the books, especially for liking it as much as you did. All three and four stars on Amazon. (Goodreads is a different story, but Goodreads doesn’t really count, making Mos Eisley look like a Sunday School Picnic.)

So, if you left a review on Amazon for Halloween Jack and the Devil’s Gate and I haven’t contacted you yet, please let me know and send me your email, and I’ll get you that copy of Halloween Jack and the Curse of Frost.

If you haven’t reviewed book one in the series yet, not to worry. You can still get in on this action. If you leave a review by 11:59pm Pacific Time on Sunday, December 16th AND reply to this post with a link to your review, I’ll get you an advance copy of book two. The hope here is that you’ll be so grateful that you’ll be ready to post a review a day or two after Halloween Jack and the Curse of Frost goes live on Amazon, because reviews really do help sell books.

Thanks again to all my readers and reviewers.

“Does it feel a chilly to you?”
