Blogtober post #6

Wow, Tuesday, October 8th was so crazy busy when I got home I crashed out. So here’s everything I did yesterday.

Wrote and posted two entries of the Nine Tenth’s Project.

Met with a student and Starbucks to talk about writing.

Had a call with an event happening next spring about running a multi-day writing intensive. If the event decides to do it, it will be an amazing weekend of writing.

Had a conference call with two more students.

Worked more on my thoughts about protagonist archetypes and how that fits into my thoughts on story structure.

Worked on the structure for the Gallowclass live stream, including going over viewer submissions and which I was going to use. I also scoured my library for two published examples of the things I wanted to talk about story beginnings. I also read chapters from How to Write a Sentence by Stanley Fish, Wired for Story by Lisa Cron, Steering the Craft by Ursula K Le Guin, and About Writing by Samuel R Delaney to solidify some of my thoughts on beginnings.

Came up with the preliminary page for reward points (called Gallowcash) for viewers, followers, and subscribers, of my Twitch channel.

Recorded Halloween Jack and the Curse of Frost, chapter 11.

Live-streamed Gallowclass.

Recorded Halloween Jack and the Curse of Frost, Chapter 12. That wrapped up recording.

Man… writing all that out made me exhausted all over again. More coffee and then back to the grindstone.
