In this first installment of the serialized novel: DEAD WEIGHT, Boy Scout wants nothing more than to numb his mind and escape from the horrors that plague him from his time serving in the Faerie War. The conflict is not truly over, and he cannot hide forever. Forces from both worlds, Earth and Faerie, seek to use him again. Will he dance the same old dance from the strings tied to him, or will he cut those strings and write a new story?

DEAD WEIGHT is a near future urban fantasy noir war thriller set during and in the aftermath of a conflict between the United States and the Unseelie court of ancient Faerie. The six installments of this novel will explore the horror and beauty of war, the blessing and a curse of artistic inspiration, and how the choices of a few individuals can shape the destinies of two worlds.
